The Summer Solstice signifies the ending of the flowering season (Spring) as the Sun reaches its highest peak in the Northern Hemisphere. With the beginning of Summer, we enter a time of growth, maturity and the forthcoming Harvest Season. Like the days before the Full Moon, this is a perfect time to take those extra steps to get us closer to our goals and fill our hearts with gratitude for the tangible and spiritual abundance we have in our lives. It’s also an ideal time to clearly set our intentions for the next cycle to come. Once daylight reaches its peak on June 20th, we’ll start moving towards harvest season as the fruits of our efforts ripen and the days start shortening.

Create a Summer Solstice altar with bright flowers, seasonal fruits and vegetables, candles to symbolize the light of the sun, statues or photos of deities that go with the season or benefit your current spiritual work.
