Since 2017 I have been taking an annual pilgrimage to the neolithic town of Glastonbury in the West Country of England, a place steeped in mystery and legend, trusted to have been the location of the ancient Isle of Avalon. As a young woman I read Marion Zimmer-Bradley'sMists of Avalon, in which she relates the Arthurian legend from the perspective of a priestess. This magikal tale stirred up an age-old memory that sat dormant in me until my visit to Avalon. To many of us, Avalon provides a portal from the earthly to otherworldly and a place where we can cross from the profane to the sacred.

I was intrigued by the description of the Avalon Perfume and was delighted that it was available in the 2.5 ml size. After wearing it for a while I knew it was a good fit for me and splurged on the 10ml size.
It is intoxicating and rich, while being grounding and sweet, but not too sweet.
I love it.
I wish more perfumes were available in the small "sample" size. Fragrance is so personal. I need to wear one for a while to experience how it works with my chemistry. When I discover a good fit, I buy it.
