Rose otto and rose absolute are both derived from the same flower and they are not the same thing. Otto is steam-distilled, delicate and precise. Absolute is solvent-extracted, richer and more complex. Using both is a mark of quality that most brands skip because the cost is significant. We use both because rose without its full depth is not rose.
