October

It is a magical time of year when the veil is thin between the worlds. The days are growing shorter; darkness rules once again and carries the shadow toward the Winter Solstice - when light will be birthed anew.

Here in the desert, it is unusually hot for October, yet there is a sparkle in the air and lady light glows golden over her land. Soon we too will be making fires, hot soups and sipping on dark red wine. In many parts of the country winter is settling in, the leaves are turning and frost lingers in the air. The cycle of death and rebirth is very apparent during this transition.

It is time to breathe deep and exhale any stagnation that has built up within us. It is the season for honoring those who have passed, with gentle thoughts, offerings and rituals. As we move towards Samhain (Halloween) and the Day of the Dead, we can burry what has passed with honor and gratitude and embrace the rewards of our experiences.

Take a moment to honor the harvest of life as a human Being – your accomplishments, your blessings, your growth. Focus on ignoring judgment and the endless chatter of the mind. Become a vessel of gratitude for all that is and has been. When you feel that love pumping through you (no matter how strong or faint) and a smile rises from deep below the surface (go ahead smile), visualize that beautiful energy overflowing into your future, your past and throughout the whole universe. For we are all one!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN beautiful people!

With Love, Kate
