Handmade Amber Olive Oil Soap

There is a woman here in our desert town that makes the most exquisite soaps under the stars. Every time I walk into her shop, which is appropriately called Alchemista Aromatherapy Sanctuary, there are different aromatic offerings beautifully displayed in a variate of lush, natural colors, swirls and mica gold dusting. Sonia, the owner and formulator, is of Mexican heritage and compares her creations to making the traditional Mexican sauce "mole", an intricate concoction made with a variate of chilies, spices, ground nuts, dried fruit and chocolate.

My absolute favorite is the Handmade Amber Olive Oil Soap which is made with the true natural resin of amber, which Sonia imports from India. It evokes the ancient past, with its sacred, deep lustrous scent and it almost feels like a holy sacrament to wash my body or hands with it. The aroma lingers on the skin and releases little fragrant clouds for many moments after using it. Sonia agreed to sell me some soaps so that I can offer them here and share this sacred purifying experience with you.

The ingredients are as pure as it gets: Sponified Olive Oil*, Sunflower Oil*, Jojoba*, Sweet Almond, Coconut, Avocado, Palm Oils, Shea butter or Coconut Butter, 100% Pure Essential Oils, Iron Oxides/Plant Material (Natural Pigments)
